This position is ideal for someone with experience in canoeing, kayaking, and stand-up paddleboarding. Umiak runs 7 days a week on multiple rivers all summer long. Training starts beginning of May and the season runs through September. We are looking for a season-long commitment. Trailer experience is not necessary but helpful! Job Responsibilities: Shuttle Driver Shuttle clients with bus and trailer to drop off and pick-up locations Load/unload trailers of boats safely and efficiently Teach clients how to read rivers, boater safety, and use of equipment Organize and maintain equipment Communicate with management Maintain safety by following procedures and outlining days for clients Guided Tours/Instructor Instruct customers about proper boating techniques, river safety, and skills Help clients navigate rivers, rapids, and obstructions Uphold safety on the river and make judgment calls as needed Educate clients of the surrounding area Work Hours: The shuttle driver position is from 8:30-6:00 and varies based on time of year and holidays.
