Umiak Outdoor Outfitters is looking to expand our booming program department to our seasonal store in Richmond. We are looking for a hardworking and detail-oriented person for this full-time seasonal position.  This fast-paced position would oversee and run our expanded river programming and summer boat rentals. An ideal candidate would be willing to be cross-trained in retail and work the extent of the summer season.   

Job Responsibilities:

• Oversee our expanding programming

• Use a point-of-sale system to make reservations

• Run tubing shuttles on the Winooski River

• Maintain company vehicles

• Rent boats and educate/aid customers on proper use and transportation

• Back up retail staff when needed

• Educate customers on opportunities around them in regard to boating/tubing in the area

Work Hours & Benefits This position is 9-6 but varies on the time of year and holidays. This is a part-time seasonal position.

Staff Requirements / Skills:

• ACA Certification (Can be trained through Umiak course.)

• First Aid/CPR

• Must be able to lift 70lbs overhead

• Clean driving record

• Customer Focus

• Attention to detail

• Good judgment

• Works well under pressure

• Trailer/large vehicle experience is welcome but not needed
