Are you ready for the adventure of a lifetime? Experience Vermont with the fastest and friendliest dogs. Dog Sledding with the Un-Chained Gang is quite possibly one of the most exhilarating adventures in the state of Vermont.

Start out in the Learning Center spending quality time with some sled dogs who are often lounging on couches and enjoying the wood stove in winter. Get hand-on experience harnessing, handling, and hitching these beautiful Alaskan Huskies. You will learn about the sport of dog sledding as well as dog consciousness, social order, pack dynamics, and our unique facility. Our pack is called the Un-Chained Gang because they are free-range never chained dogs. They enjoy swimming in the pond, playing ball, tug of war and hiking.

Get ready to "Gee" and "Haw" as you wind through the wooded trails with jaw-dropping mountain views. You startup with a great stretch of trail that has been engineered just for dogsledding. The trails are located in the midst of three thousand acres of protected Vermont Wilderness, in a famous snow belt. The vast landscape allows for the possibility of wildlife sightings. You will be awe-struck by the beautiful, quiet woods, and open fields with long-range views of the Lowell Mountains. Once you're back at the Learning Center cozy up to the fire with a warm beverage and you can be a dog's best friend and reward them with tasty treats.

For the safety of our customers, mushers, and dogs our sleds can not carry more than 350lbs.  For larger groups, we offer a split ride utilizing one sled; meaning we split the ride time so all the members of your party can take turns on one cart.

Before booking, please have everyone in your party's individual weights.

" We had the pleasure of spending 2 1/2 hours with Jim and his wonderful sled dogs. Jim invites you into his entire world. I loved learning about the dogs and his daily routine with them. This experience was very hands-on. I was able to help Jim harness the dogs, hook them up for the sled ride and after we returned from our ride we helped Jim feed the dogs and take care of them. Jim was super informative and answered my 100 plus questions. The sled ride was absolutely beautiful. Getting pulled through the woods of Vermont by 10 amazing, smart and strong Sled dogs. Jim's trails were beautiful and being in the mountains of Vermont at dusk was just breathtaking. This experience was the very reason we came to Vermont and it surely did not disappoint! It was everything I imagined it would be and so so much more!!! I highly recommend this experience. It was so hard to leave Jim’s farm and all his sweet loving dogs. I will surely miss them all."
