We booked a last minute Nordic Ski Tour and headed down to the store to pick up our rentals and meet our guide, Ryan. He was a former state champ in Connecticut, but had the patience of a saint in helping us learn the basics of cross country skiing before setting off on some beautiful trails through privately owned property made available for public use. We stopped by a sugar shack along the way, and Ryan even brought along some amazing trail bars, jerky, and hot cider to keep us satiated on our 4 hour tour. Great folks and a great time with Umiak!
