Events Thursday Night SUP Demos (Free in the month of June) Thursday Night SUP Race Training June 24th VT Paddleboard Festival July 6th The Great American Northeast Kingdom Flatwater Kayak Championship Thursday Night Demos 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the Waterbury Center Day Use Area. SUP Race Training Looking to get fit and fast this summer? Umiak will be hosting free race/ exercise training on Thursday evenings from 6-8pm at Waterbury Reservoir Day Use Area. BYOB (bring your own board) or you can rent a paddleboard from Umiak. Please call for board reservations or just show up if you have your own board. Umiak Outdoor Outfitters is a sponsor for Vermont Paddleboard Festival at Waterbury Reservoir. The first paddleboard fest in VT, bringing together experts, instructors and enthusiasts to celebrate this exciting sport. Over 50 different boards will be available along with clinics, free classes and fun races. See you at the VT Paddle Fest from 11 am to 4 pm on Sunday June 24th The Great American Northeast Kingdom Flatwater Kayak Championship on July 6th. A ten mile flatwater race and “expedition” on Lake Memphremagog, starting at Prouty Beach in Newport, Vermont then heading out of the bay to the Canadian Border, around Black, Cove, and Belle Islands and back to Prouty Beach. There are four divisions: 1) All In - any size or shape 2) 12 foot standard kayaks 3) Sailing Kayaks (any size or shape) 4) Expedition (non-race) |
